
| Luke Hatton is a sound designer who sometimes talks about himself in third person. Based out of North Wales UK, he primarily works on independent video games and other media. Generally though, he just enjoys making interactive noises. "BUZZ-ZING!"
Sound Design:
- Creative Sound Design:
Putting custom sound to image, video or animation with great consideration for mood and atmosphere. Design to enhance a feeling or give a sense of realism, I strive to make the details stand out.
- Sample creation:
Field recording, editing, mixing and mastering of FX and general manipulation. I can create sounds from simple footsteps, summer ambiance to an apocalypse alien invasion!
- Implementation: (game engines)
Unreal 3, Battlefield 2, Cryengine and Valve's Source engine. Creating and importing General positional SFX, mapping soundscapes/ambient areas and implementing dynamic music scores. Use of 3rd party audio systems such as FMOD. I'll work with your mappers and coders to ensure the audio is both optimized and well mixed.

Experience as audio lead and coordinator for multiple mod game projects. Familiar with design documentation, scheduling and task setting.
- Teamwork/communication:
Active member of Sonic Valley Productions sound design team. The team is internet based and spread out over several countries. Due to this I'm versed in sharing and delegating tasks in a team situation remotely. Valuable skills that translate well to other projects.
My work with the team involves sound production and implementation for a variety of game projects and mods as either lead sound design, task manager or contributor.
Other:
I'm also an accomplished rock guitarist with 10 years playing experience. Performing in project bands in Europe and the US. Regardless, I'm still rubbish on guitar hero haha.
